Andre Kertesz
André Kertész was a Hungarian photographer who emerged as one of the most influential practitioners of the medium. Favouring emotional impact over technique, he famously remarked, “I just walk around, observing the subject from various angles until the picture elements arrange themselves into a composition that pleases my eye.” WWW: I chose these pictures because their shadow is very clear and defined and they look the best out of the 20.

Sharon Radisch First response
Sharon Radisc is the NYC and Paris-based photographer, art director and artist, circumvented a traditional path to a career in the arts. She initially graduated with a biology/pre-med degree before moving to Paris to study the French language. Intending to stay for six months, Sharon remained in France for three years while completing a master's degree in biology and cellular physiology. This unique educational background lent Sharon an eye for abstraction. As she witnessed the cohesive nature of organic life, she felt drawn to the minute mechanisms of cells in isolation. For several years, Sharon applied this interest in interaction to her work in the medical field. After long days in laboratories, she sought solace in creative practice and began assembling sculptural still lifes to photograph.
During Lockdown it was difficult for photographers to take good pictures because we couldn't go out, so Sharon had the idea to create sculptures out of random household objects and place the "sculptures" on a white background, which created these images...

2nd response
In the first response we used oil and food colouring which didn't really turn out well, but then in the second response we used water and ink which created nicer images.

I used the dodge tool to brighten the lines glowing through the cup and around the glass to sharpen the glass and I also cropped the image so there was only the background and the glass.
